Intertwining Leaves Big Paper Wreath | Holiday Card Idea

festive wreath holiday card idea

Hello from Scotland,  this is Bibi Cameron and I had so much fun creating this Holiday card using some of the supplies included in the Altenew November Release together with some other products.

This card is easy to put together and it is HUGE!!!

It measures 7″x7″ but you can make a 6″x6″ card with the same design idea and the same supplies.

In the video below you can see the cardmaking process and also tips and ideas to elevate your Christmas card designs.

Here’s How I Made This Holiday Card

On many occasions, I have mentioned that you can create wreaths using any curved die-cut or stamp so this is what you can see in the video.

When using die-cuts, you can break the fibers of the paper and bend them a little bit to fit a circular or oval design.

Adding sparkle and metallic accents is a must.

Symmetry is also important and easy to achieve by mirroring the position of the die-cuts

Making Big Holiday Cards

Here in the UK, cardmakers enjoy making big cards and after many years of living here, I think I finally found joy in creating larger format projects.

Once you are bitten by the large format bug, there is no cure. You want to go bigger.

Just 1″ niche larger than the standard 6×6 , the 7×7 format is great because:

– You have more room to create.
– It's easier and quicker to put any composition together.
– The compositions look more substantial and luxurious.

The joy of making big cards is the joy of using big dies.

So I want to invite you to try large card formats. Leave your A2 comfort zone and give it a try.
