Using Crescent Flowers to Create Striking Focal Points On Scrapbooking Layouts and Cards
Hello crafty friends! It's Reiko here today to share this 6″ x 6″ memory keeping layout and a card using the adorable Dynamic Duo: Crescent Flowers Stencil Set.
How To Create a Striking Focal Point:
For the background, I used a sheet of patterned paper from the Celebrations 6 x 6 Paper Pack. This paper bundle includes 24 double-sided sheets containing 12 different coordinating designs. I love every design from this paper pack, and it's perfect for making scrapbooking layouts.
To create a striking focal point for this layout, I used the Dynamic Duo: Crescent Flowers Stencil Set. I started out by putting two A2-sized piece of white cardstock on the 9 x 12 Ultra Sticky Mat: Grid and inked them with the Sweet & Serene Fresh Dye Ink Bundle. This ultra-sticky surface keeps the stencils and A2-sized cards securely in place!
I die cut the Winter Lake Cardstock using the Frilly Frame Die, but it's not for sale anymore. There are other frame dies and stamps that can be used: Mid-Century Frame Die and Fancy Frames.
This way, I could make two whimsical, watercolor-style florals at once!
Creating Miss-You Card:
For the card base, I cut a piece of the Winter Lake Cardstock into 8.5″ x 5.5″ and scored in half to make a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card. Then I inked an A2-sized watercolor paper using the Dynamic Duo: Crescent Flowers Stencil Set and the Sweet & Serene Fresh Dye Ink Bundle. I cut the watercolor paper into circle and inked the edge of the circle with the Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink. Adding the small pearls on the whimsical stamp image was the fun part!
