Faux Gouache Painting Technique with Artists’ Gouache Set – Strolling Through New York
Hello, everyone! Aga here, and today, I would like to share with you a fun faux gouache painting technique for your next crafting project!
It’s easy to get the look of a beautifully painted card or art for your wall using Altenew's Artists' Gouache Set and your stamps or stencils. It’s also another great way to stretch the versatility of your products.
Creating a Faux Gouache Painting Card with Altenew's Artists' Gouache Set
I started by preparing my background. I used a Watercolor Paper Pad (9″x 12″), Satin Masking Tape, Baby Pink paint from Artists' Gouache Set – Strolling Through New York, and Titanium White Artists' Gouache.
I mixed a little bit of pink and white gouache to lighten the color and painted the masked piece.
Once my background was dry, I used a stencil from Stencil Art: Playful Watercolor Flowers Layering Stencil Set to add two beautiful floral clusters.
I blended over the stencil Moss and Evergreen Crisp Dye Inks for the leaves, and Cloud White Pigment Ink for the flowers.
Then, I set it all aside to let the ink dry completely.
My last step was to paint over the top of the flowers with Titanium White Artists' Gouache.
I used a small brush and applied thick layers of paint for a lovely texture and to add some artistic feel.
Finally, I removed the masking tapes, placed the piece on a card base, and added a sentiment from the Elegant Sayings bundle.
And that's it – a card with faux gouache painting with Altenew's Artists' Gouache Set!
I hope this card inspires you to create something artistic! It’s all about being creative and having fun!
Thank you for stopping by today!
