September 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!) | Peonies, Tulips, & More!

Hello and welcome to the Altenew September 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop featuring peonies, tulips, & more. Erum Tasneem here today to start off the hop, and I have three projects to share with you featuring two of the products from today's release. But first, let's take a look at all the gorgeous things released today!

September 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series

Peonies, tulips, gingerbread cookies, and more! This collection of products is just the thing to help you beat the seasonal blues. You are sure to find inspiration with these lovelies as you get creative in your craft space.

Build-A-Garden: Pristine Peonies Project Inspiration

This gorgeous, gorgeous Build-A-Garden: Pristine Peonies Stamp Set comes with a coloring and layering stencil! I have been immensely enjoying the coloring stencils, and just look at this card. It turned out wonderful, didn't it?

I used Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, and Sunray Crisp Dye Inks for the flowers. And for the leaves, I used Nature's Wonders Crisp Dye Inks. The card panel is cut out of the largest rectangle from the Nesting Slim Rectangles Die Set. Then, I applied the green and yellow inks with the help of a Large Ink Blending Brush strategically.

Next, I used the Build-A-Garden: Pristine Peonies Add-On, which includes dies for this stamp set. I added a lot of black splatters and adhered the images with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. To finish, I adhered Satin Gold Sequins and stamped the sentiment in Obsidian Ink.

Craft Your Life Project Kit: Floral Acanthus

I embossed the panel using the embossing folder from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Floral Acanthus and set it aside. Then, I used Crisp Dye Inks in the same colors as I used in the previous card to watercolor the image.

TIP! If you didn't know, Altenew Crisp Dye Inks work great as watercolors too!

I added black splatters before adhering the images, sentiment, and sequins. I like the beautiful flourishes in this set. You really don't have to add too much to a card!

This card features the embossing folder from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Floral Acanthus. I have to confess that this card is incomplete. I forgot to place the second sentiment before taking the photo, and after that, I was just too lazy to take another one. If you want to check out the VIDEO on how to recreate this look, click HERE.

I inked the panel using Lagoon and Magenta Crisp Dye Inks. Then, I embossed the panel, ensuring I ended up with the debossed design on the inked portion. After that, I used Arctic Mountain Crisp Dye Ink with a foam blending tool.

For the sentiment, I die cut the die out of Sterling Silver Glitter Cardstock from the Gilded Glitter Cardstock Set and layered it over a lightly inked shadow die-cut layer. To finish, I adhered a few gems.

You can watch the process video for this. It is the same as the first card in terms of the inks used. The thing I changed here is that I used Antique Gold Embossing Powder for the outline of the image instead of black ink, which completely changed the look of the card!

To add to the glitz and softness of the card, I added light inking to the background as compared to the first card. Then, I also added a die-cut of Garden Trellis Cover Die. I used the Gilded Glitter Cardstock for this. And for more bling, I adhered Antique Gold Sequins.

I hoped you enjoyed my card projects featuring gorgeous peonies and floral acanthus! Now on to the blog hop and giveaway!
