Project Inspiration
The Petite Reverie stamp set is a stunning layered stamp set consisting of a base layer and a detailed layer with a pointillism style. My card below uses only the detail layer to create a background.
Working on an A2 piece of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock, I started to stamp the detailed layer of the Petite Reverie. I used six colors of ink – Olive, Fuchsia, Aqualicious, Fresh Lemon, Autumn Blaze, and Deep Iris Crisp Dye Inks. To give the impression of patterned paper, I make sure to turn the stamp with each impression and stamp in different orientations. Stamping off the edge of the card also helps to give the look of a cut patterned paper.
The Petite Reverie set includes a sentiment die which I used to add the word “thanks” to my card. I added black cardstock to a piece of Altenew's Double-Sided Adhesive Sheets. I then placed the die on top and secured it with low-tack tape before putting it through my die-cut machine. I did this three times, effectively creating stickers that I easily peeled and added to the lower right corner of the card. To balance the black elements, I added a strip of black and silver cardstock strip to the left of the card.
