Time to Craft With Lydia – Creating a Beautiful Floral Background

@altenew_ An Oldie-But-Goodie Die Cutting Technique to Decorate Cards!

To start with, I used Stencil Art: Playful Watercolor Flowers Layering Stencil Set to ink blend the beautiful cluster of flowers onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

For the flowers, I used Pink Crystal, Mauve, Berrylicious, and Acai Berry Inks. For the leaves, I used Icy Lemonade, Oolong Tea, Citronella, Green Gold, Matcha Tea, Swamp Green, and Oak Moss Inks.

Once I had completed the image, I drew around it using Dark Night Artist Marker and then filled in the background with the same marker.

Spreading Kindness with an Oldie-but-Goodie Die Cutting Technique!

For the sentiment and the oldie-but-goodie die cutting technique, I used the Be Kind Die from the Always Be Kind Die Set.

I cut the smaller of the dies from the colored panel. Important tip: Remember to keep all of the pieces! After that, I cut the larger ‘shadow' die from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

I adhered the die-cut letters onto the shadow piece using glue tape. Then, I added a scrap piece of cardstock behind the panel, followed by adding the panel to a card base using foam tape.

Next, I adhered the ‘fall-out' pieces back into place onto the scrap cardstock, then added over the layered die-cut using foam tape.

For a little touch of interest, I splattered some Pure White Ink Spray and glued some Satin White Sequins.
