It seems to me that this set has several different styles of stamps that don't quite coordinate with one another. There are a couple layered stamps (goldfish) and two solid stamps that you can't color in (plant and lily pad) - and I'm not even sure what the dots on the top right are supposed to be. Some stamps seem a little cartoon-y and others are relatively realistic looking. I've had troubles creating a cohesive scene and have started using the different "styles" separately.
I was taking an AlteNew Academy class on masking (hosted by Therese Calvird) and this stamp set was one she was demonstrating with. I loved her card so much I knew I had to have the set. I have already used it several times on various cards because it has quickly become one of my favorites. The stamp quality is superb and the dies are perfect. AlteNew’s stamp and die quality is fantastic and I would highly recommend them.
Love how easy it is to get a good impression with the stamps, the dies line up and cut perfectly. Love this set, it’s different, diverse and beautiful.
I love this stamp and die bundle. So many ways to use it. I just made a card for a friend using watercolors and while I was very happy with how the fishes came out I found lining up the second layer wasn’t isn’t that easy. I had to take time and use my watercolors to work out the layer stamping boo boos. Will take some practice. Wish the lily pads had a second layer.
