These Watercolor Floral Cards Are SUPER EASY and Beginner-Friendly! (Creativity Unlocked feat. Garden Bouquet Set)

Beginner-Friendly Watercolor Floral Cards
The size of the floral arrangement is perfect for creating full sized handmade cards, scrapbook layouts, journal pages, and even DIY illustrations that are ready to be framed! By cropping the main image in different ways you can make multiple unique watercolor floral cards and that’s what I’ve done for today’s projects.
How to Create two CAS Watercolor Floral Cards with Garden Bouquet Set
I started by stamping my floral bouquet with Obsidian Pigment Ink onto watercolor paper from Watercolor Paper Pad (9″x12″) – Cold Pressed.
The rich black color dries quickly and does not fade. It is waterproof and works beautifully with watercolor and other water-based mediums.
The watercolor paper has excellent texture, gorgeous pigment absorption and it’s heavyweight so won’t buckle when it’s wet.
My next step was to add color to the stamped images. I used Watercolor Brush Markers – Spring Garden Set. I applied pigment straight from the marker and used wet brush #4 from Artists' Watercolor Brushes – Round to dilute colors with water for a softer look. I went for my favourite color combo and used here Rubellite, Autumn Blaze, Warm Sunshine, Moss and Dusk markers.
Once everything was set and dry, I die cut it using a coordinating die and cropped the floral arrangement to create two different watercolor floral cards.
To finish the cards off, I added Thank You sentiment to the first one.
And With Love to the second card.
