Paint-by-Number Watercoloring with Artists’ Watercolor Tubes
Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here and I would like to share with you a slightly different project today. Three floral images from Paint-by-Number: Instant Artist – Blossoming Florals colored using Artists' Watercolor Tubes.
Paint-by-Number: Instant Artist – Blossoming Florals features 12 Paint-by-Number sheets (2 per design) printed onto high-quality 300 GSM watercolor paper. Each design comes with a color instruction but you can experiment with your own color combinations and coloring medium. And that’s what I decided to do for my today’s projects. I reached for my Ultimate Artists' Watercolor Tube Bundle to see what result I would get with watercolors.
Beginner Tips and Tricks for Watercoloring with Paint-by-Number Sheets
I started off with creating a color swatch, to keep track of the shades I have and to choose the right colors for each design.
Next, I used three different images from Paint-by-Number: Instant Artist – Blossoming Florals and started to paint. I decided to pick my own colors and not to follow the instructions too rigidly. I went for my favourite color combo and used: Toluidine Red, Quinacridone Magenta, Gold Ochre and Olive Green.
The tubes are so easy to use, you just need to squeeze the amount you want onto your palette and I love how beautiful and vibrant all the colors are. I like to use my watercolors quite diluted so some guide numbers and lines are visible on my paintings, but I think it gives a fun “handmade vibe” to the designs. However you are still able to cover them with a right amount of color.
All the Paint-by-Number sheets are 4.25″ x 5.5″ in size, making it the right size for handmade cards, DIY framed decor, and small but terrific artwork!
Thank you for stopping by today!
