Non-Traditional Holiday Color Scheme Card with Jolly Ornaments Hot Foil Plate
Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here and today, I would like to share with you a fun holiday card with Jolly Ornaments Hot Foil Plate and some floral dies.
Why a Non-Traditional Holiday Color Scheme?
I've always been a huge fan of non-traditional colors for holiday cards, and I also love using non-holiday supplies. It’s a great way to stretch the versatility of items from my stash. So, today’s card is a mix of both.
How to Create Non-Traditional Holiday Color Scheme Card With Jolly Ornaments and Floral Dies
I started by preparing my background and created my card base out of white cardstock.
Next, I die cut a circle with a die from Halftone Circles Nesting Die Set. I blended ink into it using a Small Ink Blending Tool and Cloudy Sky Crisp Dye Ink.
I then attached the circle to the background and added some ink splatters.
Adding Embellishments
My next step was to create the main embellishments.
I used a hot foiling technique and combined a hot foil plate from Jolly Ornaments with Hot Foil Roll – Brass (Satin) to create a shiny star.
Next, I die cut fourteen branches from Branches and Berries Die Set. I used an ink blending technique with green inks from Green Fields Fresh Dye Ink Set to add color to them.
I also used the Warm Sunshine marker from Artist Alcohol Markers Summer Afternoon Set for yellow details.
Finally, I arranged and glued everything together.
