Create Quick and Easy Layered Florals with Gradient Cardstock

Today, I am creating quick and easy layered florals using Gradient Cardstock. I love adding ink blending to Craft-A-Flower sets, but using Gradient Cardstock is so quick and easy that projects are a breeze to put together!
Gradient Cardstock Flowers & Leaves
I started off my projects today by creating the tag. I took the Craft-A-Flower: Carolina Allspice Layering Die Set and die cut the layers from Gradient Cardstock Sets. I used Cherry Blossom for most of the layers, as well as the darkest color (Cosmic Berry) from the Rose Petal Set. I used Green Meadows for the leaves.
These Gradient Cardstock Sets are great because the color matching is already done for you. No need to worry if the shades will go together or not!
I adhered the layers for both the flower and leaves using the 2-in-1 Precision Glue Pen.
Creating the Tag
I die cut a tag using the Terrific Tags Die Set from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I adhered the leaves on top with Glue Tape (making sure to only add adhesive to the bottom of the leaves as the rest overhang the tag). I then adhered the flower on top with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
I stamped the sentiment from Strawberry Stamp Set onto black cardstock with Embossing Ink. I applied Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and added to the tag with glue.
TOP TIP: Add strips of cardstock behind sentiments to add dimension without adding bulk.
For extra stability and to make the back of the tag look neat, I adhered another tag back to back. I added twine through the top of the tag and tied it in a bow. To embellish, I added a few Cherry Blossom Enamel Dots.
Adding the Tag to a Card
Although I like the tag as a standalone tag, I thought it would look really pretty added to a card too.
I took an A2 white card base (made from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock) and placed the front panel onto the Crafter's Essential Scoring Board. Using the Crafter's Essential Bone Folder, I scored lines on it. I placed them at random intervals to create more interest.
TOP TIP: This is a great way to add subtle detail to a clean and simple card. It is not too distracting but adds that extra touch!
To enhance the scoring lines, I added ink blending to the bottom half of the card using a Large Ink Blending Tool and Pinkalicious Crips Dye Ink. This ink matches the Gradient Cardstock colors perfectly! I decided to add the tag to the left-hand side with one of the leaves overhanging (with Glue Tape), so I cut 1/4″ off of the side so that the card still fits in a standard-sized envelope.
