Simple Watercolor Flower Card on Colored Cardstock
Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here, and I would like to share with you a simple watercolor flower card.
I love watercoloring and watercolor techniques as they are not as fussy and precise as other coloring mediums. This time, instead of using watercolor paper, I tried using colored cardstock. It’s a great way to stretch your supplies and an easy way to create unique designs!
How to create a watercolor flower card on colored cardstock
I started by cutting my light blue cardstock to create a card base. It’s important that the cardstock for painting is thick and smooth, so I used a 220lb cardstock here.
Next, I stamped my floral design using an outline stamp from Craft Your Life Project Kit: Always Sunshine and Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink.
To color the stamped images, I used Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set. It contains beautiful, rich pigments, from pastels to bold and vibrant shades. Once my paint was set and dry, I added some white splatters for more interest.
To finish the watercolor flower card off, I paired two sentiments together from the stamp set for a supportive message.
