July 2023 Stamps, Dies, Stencils, & More Release
Simple is beautiful! This stunning release of products is inspired by finding beauty in uncomplicated things. In this month's collection of ensembles, you can enjoy crafting with minimalist designs, such as fuss-free flowers, elegant creatures, and serene boat scenes.
Today I'll be sharing how I go about creating a faux inlaid die-cut card. 
I started by embossing the large die from Fragrant Flowers Die Set into a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Once I had this embossed image guide, I then colored the image using Artist Markers.
I used Chamomile and Snapdragon Markers for the flower centers, Dew Drops, Aqualicious, and Teal Cave Markers for the blue flowers, Citrus Burst and Fresh Lemon Markers for the yellow flowers, Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, and Rubellite Markers for the tulip flowers, Parrot, Olive and Moss for the leaves and stems and Cloudy Night Marker for the background pieces. 
I then cut the same die four times from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock, with Double-Sided Adhesive on the back. Once these were die cut, I adhered them one on top of the other. I then added this into place over the colored image.
Once this was done, I then decided to cut around the image. NOTE- it would have been a lot easier to cut around the image before the stacked die-cut piece had been placed on it- but we live, and we learn :)
For the background, I used Dotted Waves Debossing Cover Die, and the sentiment is from the Sincere Sentiments Stamp Set.
