Hi everyone! This is Mindy here, and I’m so excited to share with you the brand-new Craft Your Life Project Kit: Illuminated Scenes — just in time for October 2025.

There are so many fun features about this bundle — one of my favorites is that the scene itself is a crafter’s workspace! How cool is that? You’ll find all kinds of thoughtful details tucked in, like ink pads scattered on the desk, a finished handmade card waiting to be shared, and even a tiny Stampwheel right there in the scene. Altenew really thought of everything to make this kit extra special and relatable for us crafters.

And here’s the really clever part — the masking to illuminate the scene is already built right into the stencil design. No extra tape or fiddly steps needed! When you ink blend through the stencil, it looks just like a beam of light shining down, illuminating only certain areas of the workspace. It gives your scene instant depth and a realistic glow that truly brings the design to life.

To really make those illuminated areas pop, I pulled together a colorful palette of inks and did my blending with a mix of mini and micro blending brushes. The smaller brushes made it so easy to get into those detailed areas of the stencil while keeping the colors vibrant and controlled. It’s such a fun way to add personality to the glow!

And Altenew didn’t stop there! The kit also includes a sentiment die set so you can cut out and pop up your greetings for extra dimension, plus a Framing die set that gives you a variety of frame sizes to perfectly finish off your project. To top it all off, there’s even a framing embossing folder that adds beautiful texture and really pulls the whole design together.

For my card design, I decided to keep things clean and simple. I die cut the largest frame from white cardstock and attached it to my card front with a bit of foam tape for subtle dimension. Then I stamped and die cut one of the sentiments, carefully positioning it so none of the fun details of the workspace scene were covered up. This way, the illuminated glow and all those tiny touches really get to shine.

How fun would this be to send to a crafty friend? With all the little details — the ink pads, handmade card, and even that tiny Stampwheel — it’s like sharing a snapshot of our happy place. I think any crafty friend would light up receiving a card like this!
