Project Inspiration
Today, I'll be sharing how you can create a foiled acetate shaker card.
I started by creating my background. I used the Rose Mallow Simple Coloring Stencil and only five inks! For the flowers, I used Cotton Candy, Peach Perfect, and Mango Smoothie Inks. These were used for all the 3 layers, but I added more ink for the layers, so all 3 inks were used for every layer. For the leaves, I used a mix of Sweet Leaf and Volcano Lake, and just like the flowers, these inks were used for all of the layers, I just changed the intensity of the inks by adding more.
Next, I took a piece of heat-resistant acetate that was 1/2″ larger on all sides than my background piece. I foiled this using gold foil and Amazing Things Hot Foil Plate. Once the acetate was foiled, I added the background panel behind it and folded the acetate nice and tight around the panel. I adhered three of the sides of the acetate to the background panel. Then I added in some Satin White Sequins before adhering the last side. I do love the look of this full panel shaker!
