I got this set to make scrapbook pages of one of my bucket-list adventures, a hot air balloon trip. My husband was taking photos from the ground, and one of the photos he took is almost the exact point of view of the big balloon, so every time I pull out this stencil set, a smile leaps onto my face at the memories. This set is also fun to use for scene cards, and I did several layouts of a hot air balloon show we attended. The stencils are so easy to line up and very easy to clean.
I wore out a cutting pad on my die cutting machine cutting out about a thousand of these little gems! You can assemble your gems in an configuration you want, so I went slightly crazy making gem flowers and necklaces and even a tiara for a princess-theme card. Try this set with clear embossing ink and glitter embossing powder and you will be amazed. Love it!
This is a fun set! I stamped some stargazer lilies for cards, and then the light bulb turned on over my head and I pulled out the orange and black inks and stamped daylilies and tiger lilies, too! Then I used my lightest gray inks and a very pale yellow, and left off the spotted stamp, and made Easter lilies for Easter cards. So much fun!
My favorite flower is the hibiscus, as you probably guessed, so I had to get this kit. The stamps layer up so nicely and build a beautiful tropical scene. I made a card for a friend that was a riot of flowers and leaves on foam tape with the toucan peeking out. The embossing folder makes such a deep impression that it sort of blew my mind. I ran opalized paper through the embossing folder for an instant elegant background on another card. And the parrot is so fun! I stamped a whole bunch of parrots, changing my ink colors to make every kind of macaw I could think of. What a wonderful kit!
This stamp set is perfect for scene cards. I tried a little experiment with it and it worked out beautifully. I inked up my stamp, stamped it on a gelli plate, took a toothpick and dragged it through the ink back and forth to make ripples in the image, and then laid my paper over it and used a brayer on the paper to transfer the ink from the stamp to my paper. Then I turned my paper 180° and stamped another swan on the paper directly above the transferred image. Then I stamped the water stamp over the transferred image, so it looked like the swan was being reflected in the water. So much messy, inky fun!
