Clean and Simple Floral Cards with Dovetail Butterflies Stamp Set
Hello, everyone! It's Aga here today with three cards created with Dovetail Butterflies Stamp Set and coordinating dies. This set features a pair of beautiful realistic-looking dovetail butterflies, each with a detailed outline and stippled shading, along with three optional color layers.
Card 1
For my first card, I used Blossom Wreath Stamp Set to create a background for my butterfly. I stamped the wreath with Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink and used markers from Tropical Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set E and from Sunshine Valley Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set F to color it in. I also stamped some blue flowers with Cloudy Sky Crisp Dye Ink.
To finish my card, I added my butterfly. The larger butterfly includes an additional image that can be stamped, die cut, and placed over the main butterfly for more dimension, but I decided to use it separately. I stamped it with black and used green markers from Tropical Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set E to color it in. My last step was to add a sentiment from Blossom Wreath Stamp Set.
Card 2
For my second, I used the large butterfly stamped in black and colored with orange markers from Tropical Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set E and pink markers from Sunshine Valley Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set F.
I added it to a floral background created with Dainty Bouquet Stamp Set stamped with Olive and Moss Crisp Dye Inks. My sentiment is from Best Sentiments Stamp Set.
Card 3
For the last card, I combined my butterfly with a sprig of dainty little flowers from Positive Vibes Stamp Set. I stamped it with Olive, Moss, Orange Cream, and Autumn Blaze Crisp Dye Inks and finished it with Pink Diamond marker from Sunshine Valley Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set F.
I again used green markers from Tropical Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set E to color my butterfly in and added a sentiment to finish the card off.
