The Mini Delight: Watering Daisies Stamp Set is a delightful collection of 10 stamps featuring the outline of a pair of lovely daisies and their leaves. But the fun doesn't stop there – enhance the dimension of these daisies with the accompanying layered stamps and add one of five heartfelt sentiments to complete your design. But that's not all – the Mini Delight: Watering Daisies Die Set features a fun layered garden watering can that can be used on its own or as a vase for the daisies in the coordinating stamp set. The set also includes dies for the words "hugs" and "hello" from the coordinating stamp set. With 6 dies in this set, you'll have everything you need to create stunning, multi-dimensional DIY card designs.
Easy DIY Card Ideas
With the Watering Daisies Stamp & Die Set, we want to prove that you don’t need
1. Birthday Cards
For a cheerful and vibrant birthday card, stamp and die cut the daisies and watering can, then layer them onto a colorful background. Add a birthday sentiment from your favorite stamp set to complete the look. You can also experiment with different color combinations to match the recipient's favorite colors.
Tip: Either ink blend various colors onto white cardstock or use colored cardstock to create your DIY cards!
2. Thank You Cards
Create elegant DIY cards by stamping the daisies and watering can in subtle, pastel colors. Pair them with a simple "thank you" sentiment for a thoughtful and heartfelt touch. Consider adding a touch of shimmer with glitter cardstock, ink spray, or metallic watercolor splatters for an extra special thank you card.
Tip: You can also go big and bold by using bigger “thank you” word dies to make a statement on your card front.
3. Just Because Cards
When you want to send a card “just because,” this set is perfect for you! Depending on the receiver’s gender, you can use just the daisies or just the watering can. Play with different backgrounds, patterns, and embellishments to make your DIY cards truly one-of-a-kind.
Tip: Die cut the watering can out of colored cardstock for quick and easy projects. No need to get inky!
5 Versatile DIY Cards Featuring the Watering Daisies Set
1. Frame your focal point using frame dies or nesting dies. Nathalie went above and beyond by hot-foiling her background before die-cutting it. She also popped up the daisies and watering can using foam tape. It makes such a difference!
2. Choose the recipient’s favorite color and use different shades of the same color to make your DIY cards more cohesive and coordinated. The good news is, with our new colored cardstock sets, matching ink and cardstock colors is now easy peasy!
3. Need a gender-neutral card idea? Keep the card clean and simple by stamping the daisies and using neutral colors for the watering can. You can also add a strip of plain washi tape or blend some ink at the bottom to ground your focal point.
4. Make it monochromatic! This simple but beautiful DIY card idea is so easy to make, even beginners can try it. Use a Kraft cardstock and stamp the daisies onto the bottom part using any muted or neutral colors (preferably something closer to the Kraft cardstock’s color). You can also stamp the images in gray ink and add some shading to the flowers using colored pencils.
5. Create a chalkboard effect. This DIY card idea is perfect for teachers, professors, and any other type of educator. Use black cardstock, stamp the images using embossing ink, and heat emboss with white embossing powder! Simple, quick, and easy!
Tips for Adapting Designs:
- Experiment with different color schemes to match the theme or mood of the occasion.
- Add dimension to your designs by using foam adhesive to layer elements.
- Incorporate other embellishments such as sequins, ribbons, gemstones, enamel dots, or twine to add extra flair to your cards.
- Consider creating a set of DIY cards in advance to have on hand for any occasion that may arise.
