This set is based on a watercolor painting by a Japanese artist named Akira Mineeda. We met him at a recent exhibition, and were so impressed with his work, that we had to acquire a few of his paintings!
The number of layers of the flowers and leaves ranges from 1-4. Given the freestyle nature of watercolor, there is really no right or wrong way to stamp these images, hence the endless possibilities!
Stamp Info: This is a 6" x 8" clear stamp set containing 34 stamps made in the USA from high-quality photopolymer.
Die Info: There are a total of 14 dies in this set.
I love this set! I've made cards using Altenew inks, and also with watercolor brushes (Altenew and Zig, then spritz with water before stamping for a truly watercolor effect). The results are spectacular. Be sure to season the stamps first with an eraser or a shammy, so the stamps will take the ink better). This is one of my favorite Altenew sets.
This stamp set is terrific for creating soft watercolor flowers. The final effect is much looser, and has a real freestyle feel to whatever flowers you create. I love the look, and plan to experiment some more with other types of ink and watercolor paper.
I love this set. Altenew quality product as well as designed to use with multiple techniques. A great set to use as a subtle background as well as "the main attraction".
Was looking for a set that I could use as a base for water coloring. This set is perfect! Next I want to try using white ink and then colored pencils. I believe this set will be used with multiple applications.
