This set is based on a watercolor painting by a Japanese artist named Akira Mineeda. We met him at a recent exhibition, and were so impressed with his work, that we had to acquire a few of his paintings!
The number of layers of the flowers and leaves ranges from 1-4. Given the freestyle nature of watercolor, there is really no right or wrong way to stamp these images, hence the endless possibilities!
This is a 6" x 8" clear stamp set containing 34 individual stamps made in the USA from high-quality photopolymer.
Beautiful set of stamps!!! Excellent quality!!!
And they really are wonders!!! Stamping these on T-shirts and canvas bags - looks like something straight out of the store or a catalog. Can't wait to find other ways to use them. Am inspired by the decals that have a similar look - image them on a wall in your bedroom....so beautiful.
Thanks again ALTENEW - always stimulating me to look for new ways to use my stamps (and I have many)!
The solid flowers and leaves are fun to work with. I like to make a subtle background and then stamp the flowers in solid black. The simplicity I achieve works very well especially for sympathy cards.
My favorite altenew product currently is the watercolor wonder stamp set because it's absolutely loaded with stamps and you can make so many beautiful layered blooms by stamping or painting on the stamp and layering them with water. it's a very versatile set.
I love the Watercolor Wonders stamp set. I can play for hours trying different colors and techniques and am always delighted with the results.
