This set is based on a watercolor painting by a Japanese artist named Akira Mineeda. We met him at a recent exhibition, and were so impressed with his work, that we had to acquire a few of his paintings!
The number of layers of the flowers and leaves ranges from 1-4. Given the freestyle nature of watercolor, there is really no right or wrong way to stamp these images, hence the endless possibilities!
This is a 6" x 8" clear stamp set containing 34 individual stamps made in the USA from high-quality photopolymer.
Very much as expected
I like to use the same color for all my layers with this set. Pairs nicely with Painted Butterflies set for a fluid silky look. You can't go wrong with this set, even if you're new to stamping you can turn your cards into a work of art with this set.
Beautiful set of stamps!!! Excellent quality!!!
And they really are wonders!!! Stamping these on T-shirts and canvas bags - looks like something straight out of the store or a catalog. Can't wait to find other ways to use them. Am inspired by the decals that have a similar look - image them on a wall in your bedroom....so beautiful.
Thanks again ALTENEW - always stimulating me to look for new ways to use my stamps (and I have many)!
The solid flowers and leaves are fun to work with. I like to make a subtle background and then stamp the flowers in solid black. The simplicity I achieve works very well especially for sympathy cards.
