Works for me.

I'm not the greatest at creating watercolor or marbleized backgrounds and this set allows me to add color where I want and the technique is done for me, Love the look it creates.

A great set for backgrounds

I love that there is a variety of marble patterns so they can be layered. The handwritten look of the sentiments is very nice too. I think these will work out nicely for making patterned backgrounds; but I do wish there was also larger options - like a truly background sized stamp, or complementary stencils too.

I am not sure if this set if worth its cost or not - time will tell

These are very expensive in the UK and I felt very excited to treat myself to such an exciting looking stamp set. I just love the sentiments. Even using a Misti I have trouble getting the stamps to ink cleanly - using distress oxides I need to ink them up to four times to get a good image - this is rare for me. I find it disconcerting that odd corners of the stamps are missing - in fact this doesn't matter as it is all part of the patterns but I have never seen this before.
I am still experimenting at different colour combinations and finding it hard to get them just right - maybe patience will pay off.
I would love to know how many different combinations you can get with these stamps as you vary which you use and also use all four sides of the stamps - there must be a finite number but I have no idea how to work it out!
I am a great fan of Altenew stamps and have many of them.
This one is causing me the most heart ache !!
