Mono printing class

Absolutely love all of Sara’s videos. This class is a quick trick for creating watercolor type backgrounds without the knowledge of watercolor art. You will love the tips that Sara gives on a whole new way of card making

Creative Techniques with One Significant Error

Pros: The class structure was well done--each of the six lessons covered a different medium used with the gelli plate. The instructor was enthusiastic and detailed. Cons: I thought most of the cards looked very similar--would have liked to see more variety. Also, sadly I ruined my gelli plate following the directions in the Lesson 2 video. The instructor says you can use Yupo paper if you work quickly. I followed her directions (working quickly) but the paper immediately stuck to the plate, taking chunks out of it when I pulled it off. Not good advice. If you go on the Gelli Plate website (, it specifically states:
Q: Are there any papers that should NOT be used?
A: Yes! We have learned that glossy coated paper stock is not compatible with the Gelli® plate. It can immediately stick to the plate and not come off without damaging the plate's surface. DO NOT use any glossy papers (including glossy photo papers).
I share this hoping other students will enjoy the class, but not follow this advice and make this mistake.

New to me and great!

This technique was definitely new to me and I enjoyed the course. Definitely fun.

Great Class

This is one of my favorite classes I've taken from Altenew. I've had a gelli plate in my stash for a long time but never used it. This class gave me so many ideas on how to use it. It push me to be creative with the use of it too!
