Can I use this plate without a letterpress machine?

You will need a compatible letterpress system, like the Spellbinders BetterPress, and a manual die-cutting machine to get the pressure required for that beautiful, deep debossed effect.

Do I have to use special ink?

For the absolute best results with a letterpress finish, we recommend using dedicated letterpress inks, though you can also use Altenew Fresh Dye Inks and experiment with your favorite hot foil rolls.

Will this plate work with my hot foil machine?

Yes! Even though it is a press plate, it doubles as a hot foil plate, letting you add stunning metallic shine using your favorite hot foiling system.
