Our Build-A-Flower: Rose set includes 1 6x8 stamp set (14 stamp images) and 1 coordinating die set (3 dies).
This month, our Build-A-Flower series is honoring the rose! Roses are heart-stoppingly beautiful, and their aroma is equally show-stopping. With such an impressive presence, it is no wonder that roses have symbolized some powerful elements throughout human history. We tried to capture the timeless beauty of this flower by giving it extra depth with six layers. Achieve a realistic look with this Rose set which is a must-have for every flower lover!
This special product is only sold as a set, not individually.
Dimensions: The largest die measures about 2.75" x 2.32" while the smallest die measures about 1.32" x 1.37".
Altenew has the best flower artwork on the market. To line up the layerd stamps, lean over the stamp and media so you can eye the layerings and make adjustments before you stamp. If it does not line up perfectly, use it anyway because your friends and love ones will love it. I use a Stamp positioner as any stamp positioner will work. Practice first on scrap paper prior to stamping on your “good” paper.
The die comes with the set. The die leaves a border around the finish cut but if you do not like the border, the image can be cut by hand or use the Brother Scan-n-Cut machine as those are optional. The point is, if you do not like a border around your image, do not let the border deter you from buying the set because you have options. I stamp first and then die cut but the choice is yours. Enjoy!
Roses are another of my favorite flowers. This I’d a perfect set.
The results of this stamp are just beautiful! It is a bit more tricky than others, the 6th tiny piece in the centre is the toughest, the rose is just delicious! It works perfectly on a 5" x 5" card as the centre piece and makes great blank card and combines perfectly with any greeting. I combined different reds from two 4 pack ink cube minis and labelled them 1 to 6 so I would know what works for the next time. My next project will be to make lots of the roses emboss them with clear embossing powder and put them around the graduation photo of my daughter.
This has become my favorite layering stamp set. The resulting rose is so elegant. It can be done in many color combinations and each is beautiful. I've done this in pinks, purples, greys and browns. All were great.
This afternoon I sat down to play with my new stamp set and inks. I am beyond thrilled with the results. Since the hardest part is lining up the layers I used my Misti, stamped each layer six times before changing to the next layer...I ended up with six fabulous flowers with little more work than I would have put into one. This time I used the Ballet Slippers 6-mini cube set and the Tropical Forest 4-mini cube set.
