This cover die will pierce small holes on a 5.5" x 4.25" size cardstock. You may use it as a textured background or cross-stitch your own designs on it! It was designed to create holes to guide you to stitch the cardstocks if you wish or to create a canvas look as background on your projects. (not all holes will cut through completely)

This die will create 58 x 76 squares, which is great for intricate patterns.

All of our dies work great with a majority of the die-cutting machines available on the market. This is a great set for creating quick and easy projects with a unique look.

poor design

Even though the description said this plate was for cross-stitch, the holes are too small for even a very narrow needle to go from back to front. I am surprised that Altenew advertised the plate for cross-stitch knowing that it was not satisfactory for such.

A slim/small needle should be able to go through as it pierces small holes once used. We're happy to look into this further. Can you please send us a photo of how it looked on your end after using the die? Also, please let us know the weight of the card stock used and the type of shim used.
