Video: Stamped & Masked Floral Background

Hello, all! This is Yana and I've been rather busy stamping lately. I love to create backgrounds for my projects so I decided I'd make an almost one layer friendship card using gorgeous Beautiful Day stamp set.

I started working on this card by creating masks – a mask for the flower and a mask for the leaf. I used regular printer paper for mine, but masking paper or post it notes are also great for making masks for stamping.

I used the large and bold Friend image from the Super Script stamp set and stamped it in black onto my card base. Next I stamped my flowers and leaves applying masks when needed.

I went with yellows, pinks and greens to “color” the images on my background. I love the Beautiful Stamp set because it gives me the option to create beautifully colored images without any effort. I used Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, Buttercream, Mango Smoothie, Warm Sunshine, Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades ink colors to color my images.

Lastly, I used a beautiful “You Make My Heart Bloom” sentiment from the Oriental Orchid stamp set and heat embossed it in white.
