Low Mojo? Try these Easy Card Designs with the Oxeye Daisy Set

Hello from Scotland, it’s Bibi Cameron here! I’m popping in to share 4 easy card ideas using the new Built-A-Garden: Oxeye Daisy stamp set, coordinating coloring stencils, and die set.

These designs are perfect for those days when your mojo is a little low—they’ll help you get back into the creative groove!

I’ve also incorporated some of the new Altenew Ink colors—We have now 16 stunning shades ranging from warm yellows, oranges, and browns to calming blues.

Cards Recipe

These cards are A2/C6 side-fold cards, and I used the same supplies to create two card variations.

  • The image and sentiments are from Built-A-Garden: Oxeye Daisy (stamp set, stencils, and dies).
  • I used a die from the Picture Frame Die Set to add a decorative frame to the layered card.

For coloring the flowers, I used a mix of the following inks:

For the leaves, I used Olive and Moss Inks. For the backgrounds, I used Olive Fresh Ink and Blueberry (from the Marine Life Fresh Dye Round Ink bundle).

For the card above, I used a die from the Picture Frame die set to cut a mask from a scrap piece of cardstock.

  • First, I used the mask to stencil a rectangle in the center of the card base using Blueberry Ink.
  • Then, I splattered black ink over the stenciled area, keeping the mask in place.
  • Next, I stamped the sentiment using Obsidian Pigment Ink.
  • Finally, using Instant Dimension Foam Tape – 1/8” x 1/4” x 10m, I adhered the die-cut flower over the center of the stenciled area.

Note: For this card, I chose not to use the 3rd and 4th layers of the stencil that add details to the images. I really like the softer look and feel.

For these cards, I used Lemon Ice, Mild Yellow, Lemonade Stand, and Raw Amber Inks from the Citrus Punch Fresh Dye Inks Bundle.

To add some accents, I applied Red Jasper Ink over the third layer of the stencil.

For the leaves, I used Lemon Ice Ink and then mixed Mild Yellow and Ride the Waves inks to create a darker green shade.

That's all for today
Thanks for stopping by.
