Hello Altenew friends! It's Virginia here. Have you joined the October 2022 Just Imagine Stamps, Dies, Stencils, and Hot Foil Plates Release Blog Hop yet? Be sure to check out the awe-inspiring projects and comment to win Altenew Gift Card. Let's explore the three innovative ways of die-cutting with Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set.

This beautiful Stamp Set includes the Coordinating Die Set and 2 in 1 Layering Stencils.  This set is absolutely fun to create with. I even found some creative  ways of die-cutting. The techniques I used are “Partial Die-cutting”. The specific die-cutting creates original and beautiful result. Let's dive right in.

1. Upper Partial Die-cutting

Altenew- Cherry Blossoms Stamp Die and Stencil Bundle-Glitter Gradient Cardstock Set - Forest Canopy -001After stamping, I applied Citrus Burst, Blush and Frayed Leaf with the Ink Blending Brushes (Small).  I then used a pencil and drew a line across the upper part of the image.

This would only cut the upper portion of the Cherry Blossom. If you do the opposite, you will cut off the bottom portion. It's that simple!

Altenew- Cherry Blossoms Stamp Die and Stencil Bundle -Instant Dimension Foam Tape -001The Diagonal Die-cutting is much like the previous one. The only difference is when you draw the penciled line, you will decide and mark the diagonal line, namely, how you position your dies, paper and die cut plates.

The last but not least is a bonus! For this design, I stamped and diecut a few dies. For the extra shadow, I stacked an extra piece of black die underneath.
