Exciting Escapades Release Video Hop – Stamping Through Stamped Images Card Tutorial

Hello there, everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. I'm so excited to be the start of the video hop. Today, we are continuing our celebrations for our Adventures Ahead Release with our Exciting Escapades Video Hop over on our YouTube channel.
As the weather gets warmer, it's time to plan for summer adventures! This release covers it all – sky, land, sea, and space adventures! Take a trip on a hot air balloon, a journey by train, a ride on a sailboat or gondola, or explore the galaxy. We have also included products featuring modern flowers and scene-building elements. 3D embossing folders, 6×6 paper packs, a decal, and washi tapes finish off the release!
Check out our new stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folders, washi tapes, and patterned paper HERE!
Project
Today, I'll be showing you a technique that allows you to stamp into stamped images.
I started by stamping the glasses image from Spectacular Adventures Stamp Set onto a piece of white cardstock. I stamped this using Obsidian Pigment Ink and heat set using Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder. Then I stamped the same image onto some masking paper and cut out the lenses using a craft knife. Once this was done, I added the mask over the heat embossed image making sure to line up the cut-outs with the lenses on the image. I then added a little sky using Let's Go Simple Coloring Stencil and Dew Drops Crisp Dye Ink. After removing the stencil, I used the tree line images from Let's Go Stamp Set and Firefly, Grass Field, Shadow Creek, and Mountain Pine Crisp Dye Inks through the mask. When this was done, I removed the mask and die cut the image using the matching die.
For the background, I stamped the glasses image all over a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of white cardstock using Silver Stone Crisp Dye Ink. Then I added the scene images from the same stamp set into the glasses using Limestone Crisp Dye Ink. When placing my die-cut image onto the background, I felt it was getting a little lost. So I added a panel of vellum before adding the die-cut image and stamping a sentiment from Let's Go Stamp Set.
