Stamp Focus: Raise the Steaks
Hello everyone! This is Yana here, I'm so excited to share my Stamp Focus take on the Raise the Steaks stamp set. When I first saw this stamp set back in July I will admit, I was puzzled. I didn't know what to do with the images and how to incorporate them onto cards and I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way.
I always love a little challenge so I decided I would do my very best to bring you some fun and fresh (and funny!) ideas for using this set. First of all I should probably say – be sure to read the sentiments in the Raise the Steaks set. Clever greetings that work amazingly well with the meat image is what makes this stamp set rock.
I went with simple and bold designs. For my first card I stamped meat using several browns and black colors of ink, cut it out using my scissors and foam mounted onto an A2 card base created out of white cardstock. As for the sentiment I chose You Don't Just MEAT expectations, you exceed them.
For my next projects I stamped a background pattern using one of the label images from Raise the Steaks stamp set and added RARE and WELL DONE to some. I also stamped and cut out a piece of meat, foam mounted in onto a circle and added a I Knew I'd Be Happy To MEAT You sentiment.
Finally for my last project I decided to try stamp raw meat. I used pinks and reds and tried various color combos to create a simple square card. I added Our Love Is Rare sentiment onto one of the stakes and completed this project with some ink splatter. I think this would make up for a perfect (and unusual!) Valentine's Day card. Don't you agree?
If you haven't yet picked this stamp set up, be sure to do so, its perfect to make cards for friends with a healthy sense of humor!
I'd love to hear your feedback! Please drop me a comment and share some love.
