Spread Handmade Love Through Creative Kindness!

One of the best things that comes with being part of the crafting community is using your creative talents for good. This is something we advocate for at Altenew, and we're thrilled to share the same values with our friends at Scrapbook.com.

There’s nothing quite like bringing a smile to someone’s face when they’ve received something heartfelt and handmade, and that’s exactly what you can do with Creative Kindness.

Since 2020, Scrapbook.com has been collecting handmade cards from crafters and sending them to people in need of care and uplifting. To date, the program has donated more than 2 million handmade cards and albums to those in need. The best part? There are so many ways for you to join the cause, and we’ll be diving into every single one of those today. 

The best part? There’s no single “right” way to participate. Creative Kindness is designed to meet you exactly where you are in your crafting journey.

No matter your skill level, schedule, or budget, there’s a way for you to get involved! Here’s how you can participate: 

You can choose to be a volunteer and opt to send as many handmade cards as you like to the Creative Kindness team. From there, they organize and sort the cards before sending them to partner organizations, who in turn share the cards with those in need. The process is incredibly easy. Another option is to provide monetary donations to the program, which will go towards handmade card distribution efforts or production costs for In Loving Memory album kits for bereaved families. Last but not least, any purchases you make through the Scrapbook.com website will also be a contribution towards Creative Kindness. A percentage of your purchase goes directly to the program and funds various operational and administrative costs.
