Both of these cards heavily feature the popular technique of ink blending, paired with some fantastic new stencil sets: Find Joy Layering Stencil Set and Hearts and Paislies.

Why Ink Blending? Ink blending is the ultimate technique to show off the pigment depth and seamless transition of these fresh dye ink colors. It allows you to get intimately familiar with the unique tones and values of each pad in the collection. You'll see how easily the colors layer and graduate from light to dark, creating stunning, professional-looking backgrounds.

The Find Joy stencil has a more contemporary, geometric style, while the Hearts and Paislies set offers a more organic, decorative feel. I absolutely loved demonstrating how to create cards with two completely different aesthetics and moods, all while using the very same new fresh dye ink color palette. I deliberately kept both card designs fairly simple and clean. The goal was to let the incredible, rich color provided by the fresh dye ink palettes truly shine and be the focal point of the artwork. After the ink blending was complete, I added just a few little accents here and there—a touch of sparkle, a simple sentiment—to bring the cards fully to life without overpowering the blended backgrounds.
