June 2023 Marvelous Monthly Series
Indulge in beautiful botanical aesthetics and timeless patterns with this month’s gorgeous monthly release – from captivating anemones & saffrons to houseplants, singing birds, granny squares and more!
Today, I'll be playing with some of the new release items, and ‘color' die-cuts using heat embossing. 
I started by cutting all of the dies from Craft-A-Flower Saffron from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. For the flower petals I swiped Embossing Ink from the center of the flower and lighter towards the center of the petal before lifting off- this gives a gradient look where there is more ink at the center/base of the flower/petal and less at the tip. I then sprinkled over Platinum Embossing Powder and then heat set. For the small stamens, I coated them in Embossing Ink and then heat set them using Rose Gold Embossing Powder. Then for the longer stamen, these were coated in Embossing Ink and then heat set using Copper Embossing Powder. To color the leaves I swiped Antique Gold Pigment Ink over them, lightly to create a soft effect. 
For the background I embossed a 3 3/4″ x 5″ panel of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock using Moroccan Tile 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from Spark Joy Sweet Greeting Add-On Die Set, the sentiment was colored using Antique Gold Pigment Ink. For the splatter I used Metallic Watercolor Pan Set.
