A 15-Minute Clean and Simple Card Using Build-A-Garden: Scripted in Bloom

Hi everyone, Aga here! Today I’m excited to share a very clean and simple card created in under 15 minutes using the Build-A-Garden: Scripted in Bloom. This all-in-one set includes a beautiful floral stamp set, five coordinating stencils that perfectly layer with the floral images, a coordinating add-on die set, and a Mini Ink Blending Brush for effortless and flawless ink blending.

If you’re ever short on time, stencils are your best friend. They make it easy to add layers of color quickly, with very little effort and no guesswork. Just choose your favorite color combination, blend through the stencils, and watch a beautiful floral design come together in minutes. 

I started by stamping the larger floral cluster from the set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I gathered the ink colors I wanted to use for stenciling. For this card, I chose Cloudy Sky and Nimbus from the Tranquility Fresh Dye Ink Set, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris from the Shades of Purple Fresh Dye Ink Set, along with Olive and Moss from the Tropical Forest Fresh Dye Ink Set.

For each stenciled layer, I blended a blue and a purple shade to add depth and interest to the florals, keeping the look soft and quick to achieve. One large floral arrangement works beautifully as a statement on its own, so I only added Instant Dimension Foam Tape to pop the image up from the card base.

Before adhering my main focal point—the die-cut floral cluster—I wanted to break up the "white space" of the card base. To do this, I added a few black ink splatters.

Pro Tip: Ink splattering is an effortless way to add texture and visual interest without adding physical bulk to your card. It creates a professional, artistic "mixed media" feel in seconds.

To finish the card, I stamped a crisp sentiment from the stamp set. Because the layout is so balanced, the sentiment really pops against the clean background.
