Fun and Festive Cards: Adding Gold Accents to a Floral Design

Creating the Card: Pink Floral Blossoms with Dynamic Duo: Paradise Flowers

I first made this simple but elegant floral card using the Dynamic Duo: Paradise Flowers Layering Stencil Set. I love this soft look that the stencil and the inks create.

Since it's the holiday season, I wanted to add something that makes the card feel festive. So I grabbed some Altenew supplies that will help me add some gold accents and embellishments and added them to my floral card. Take a look and see how my card improved below!

Adding Gold Accents: Golden Outline Stamp with Altenew Pigment Ink

I used the coordinating outline stamps from the Dynamic Duo: Paradise Flowers set and the Altenew Antique Gold Pigment Ink to add a crisp gold outline to my card.

The gold accents really brought more elegance to the already beautiful pink blossoms!

Embellishing the Card Further with Gold Washi Tapes

I am a big fan of Altenew Washi Tapes, and for this card project, I got all of my gold accents and trim washi tapes and picked out which one I should use. Eventually, I settled on the Gold Foil Polka Dot Washi Tape, but this shouldn't limit your creativity.

You can also use the Gold Foil Pinstripe Washi Tape, Gold Foil Paint Drip Washi Tape, or the Gold Foil .2-Inch Washi Tape to add a golden finish to your cards!
