As a gardener, I am always inspired by how dahlias emerge after the long heat of the summer. In my outdoor space, they stand out by blooming boldly just as the rest of the garden begins to tire in preparation for autumn. I wanted this card to recreate that story of resilience.

The Recipe for a "Perfect Pairing"

1. Geometric Foundations

Every great design needs a solid foundation. I used the Regal Flourishes Block Stamp Set, which was originally part of the Stampwheel 2.0 Next Level Stamping Retreat.

The Technique: Using the Stampwheel 2.0 platform, I positioned the base layer and used the flip plate to repeat the image four times—once in each quadrant.
The Colors: I started with Mint Choc from the Aqua Island family for a soft, refreshing base. I then moved down the gradient to Pool Fresh for the detail layer to create a background with elegant movement

2. Creating a Focal "Portal"

To ground the floral arrangement, I used the Nesting Serene Archways Die Set. I cut the second-largest arch from vellum because its pointed tip perfectly mirrors the sharp, architectural petals of the dahlia.
