Monochromatic Floral Marbled Design

Hello, friends! Svitlana is here. Today, I want to share with you a bit of a nonconventional gray monochromatic card featuring the Marbled Bloom Stamp Set.

Originally, I didn't plan this card in a monochromatic gray color scheme. But here was what my train of thought was when I was creating it: ok, the name (Marbled Bloom) was kind of calling for a marble theme -> a couple years ago I made a card with a marbled background which I stamped using an Altenew stamp set -> what about the color?  -> well, the classic marble color is gray… -> gray it is! -> what about the blooms? -> let's make them gray, as well (since they're also “marbled”) and see how will they look against a gray marble background -> me likey!

So, as we figured out, I decided to make the blooms in a gray colorway. I used for that Silver Lake, Gray Demin, Cloudy Night, and Charcoal Suit Crisp Dye Inks. Both flowers and leaves were stamped onto a Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and then die cut using the matching dies.

To make the background, I used the Rain or Shine Stamp Set. It's an older stamp set which features several very cool and realistic weather-themed images including a layered cloud. I used the layers of the cloud to create the marble background. By simply stamping with them all over a white panel with different shades of gray. It's so easy – you don't need to think really and the result turns out quite marbly.

After I finished the background I foam mounted it onto a white card base using the Instant Dimension Foam Tape and then I popped up the floral cluster on top.

Then I made a white embossed sentiment onto a Jet Black Cardstock strip using a stamp from the You Are Stamp Set (it's another quite old set which has a lot of very versatile sentiments). The sentiment was popped up onto the card, as well.

Lastly, I added several black crystals to accentuate the card.

Of course, if you're not a fan of such a color solution, the same design can be, of course, done in any other color scheme, monochromatic or not.
