Step 1: Building Your Floral Elements
Before we dive into the die cut hack that saves your layout, we need to prep our focal points. For today’s card, I used the Craft-A-Flower: Clematis die set. This set is a favorite because it makes building high-impact, layered flowers feel simple and enjoyable.
Easy Alignment with Keyhole Systems
To make the layering process even more foolproof, this set includes two specialized keyhole systems—one for each flower. This ensures that lining up your die-cut layers is stress-free. To elevate the design, I stepped outside my usual color palette. I opted for a non-traditional combination by die-cutting the leaves from Citronella cardstock. By softly ink blending over the edges with the Nature’s Wonder Fresh Dye Inks and a mini blending brush, I added organic depth to the vibrant paper.
