Secret Card Recipe – Alcohol Markers + Heat Embossing
The theme of the hop today is “Secret Card Recipe”. On each stop of the hop, you will find the Educator sharing their own recipe for their project. You can use your very own, create a card and link your project below too!
I love the touch of gold and the depth of alcohol markers, so my “Secret Card Recipe” is alcohol markers and heat embossing.
- On a panel of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock, heat emboss the floral image from the Gracious Peonies Stamp Set in Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder.
- Use Artist Alcohol Markers in Peach Perfect and Rouge to color the flower in a flicking motion, leaving the tips without color.
- Use Artist Alcohol Markers in Almond Butter and Vanilla Cream to color the leaves in a flicking motion.
- Use Coral Bliss and Autumn Blaze Woodless Coloring Pencils to add detail to the petals.
- Next, use Peach Perfect Woodless Coloring Pencil to soften the flicks on the tips of the petals.
- Use Sicilian Amber Woodless Coloring Pencil to add detail to the leaves.
- Die cut the image with the coordinating die.
- On a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Woodgrain Powder Cardstock, apply a few black splatters and let them dry.
- Adhere the image with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
- Die Cut sentiment from Versatile Greetings Die Set out of Brushed Rose Metallic Cardstock.
