Create A DIY Simple Coloring Stencil Using Dies – Lydia’s Crafty Corner (Video)

Hello there, everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'll be sharing how you can create a DIY Simple Coloring Stencil using layered dies.First, I started by cutting all of the dies from Craft-A-Flower: Tulip Layering Die Set from acetate. I kept the positive parts for masks while the negative became my stencil. Once I had the stencil, I could then use this to create a layered ink blended image. I lined the stencil into place onto a 4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of white cardstock and inked through using an ink blending tool.

For the flowers, I used Canyon Clay, Burnt Red, and Mahogany Bark Crisp Dye Inks and Marshland and Sea Forest Crisp Dye Inks for the leaves and stems. When these were done, I used the DIY masks to cover the flowers and inked in a sky using Icy Water, Winter Lake, and Arctic Mountain Crisp Dye Inks.

For a little interest, I added Delicate Stripes Washi Tape to my card base. The sentiment is from Circled Sentiments Stamp Set.
