Create 3 Folk Art-Themed Cards Effortlessly
Hello, Altenew friends! This is Virginia here. It is my pleasure to share THREE projects with Folk Art Stamp & Die Bundle. We all love a handmade card with lots of special touches. This post offers you a few ideas and inspiration on creating Folk Art-themed cards effortlessly!
Let's start with the easiest one!
Card 1

I started stamping the image in various shades of blue. This created a lovely gradient effect.

If you use a MISTI/ stamp-positioner, you can stamp it multiple times to ensure the full coverage. Once you are happy with the stamping, make the die-cut with Folk Art Coordinating Die.

For the background, all you need to do is adhere the Gold Splatter Navy Wide Washi Tape to the card front (measures 4″x 5 1/4″) and trim off the excess.

The “THANKS” sentiment was white-embossed (Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder) on Vellum. I then added a piece of Navy Gold Thin Washi Tape at the bottom as accents.
Card 2
The 2nd card also uses only the stamp set and vellum. This is a great way to showcase a delicate image.
The trickiest part is white embossing (Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder) the entire image. You can use the anti-static powder and MISTI to get a perfect embossed image.

The next step is the fun part. Simply use the Artist Markers and start coloring on the BACKSIDE of the embossed image.

I chose the darkest colors/shades as the image will show through the vellum the best. You only need to color within the white lines on the backside and it is stress-free!

Card 3
The 3rd card is all about symmetry. It requires partial stamping and partial dry embossing. Let's start with the stamping at the top and bottom.
First, I decided where the middle is and positioned the stamp accordingly. I used contrasting colors (yellow and purple).

Once I finished stamping the image, I positioned the Folk Art Motif 3D Embossing Folder at the top and ran it through my die cutting machine. I did exactly the same with the bottom part.

The dry-embossed surface from the Folk Art Motif 3D Embossing Folder gives the entire card extra dimensions and interest. After stamping the sentiment and vines, I embellished the card with a few added droplets of gold glitter.

I hope my post inspired you to create these intricate-looking projects without much effort and time. Thank you for stopping by!
