CAS Pastel Floral Card Using This Beautiful Larkspur Layering Die Set!

Hello, everyone! Aga here. Today, I’m excited to share a clean and simple (CAS) pastel floral card I created using the newly released Craft-A-Flower: Larkspur Layering Die Set.

This latest release from Altenew is a beautiful and versatile set for creating realistic, dimensional larkspur flowers with ease. It also allows you to use the floral image as designed, with the flowers on the stem, or get creative by pairing individual flowers with different leaf elements to build your own custom arrangements. Whether you're going for classic elegance or something fresh and modern, this set offers endless floral possibilities.

For today’s CAS card, I created a simple floral stem using a delicate pastel color combination. I wanted to keep the overall design clean and minimal to let the soft colors and beautiful layered details of the Larkspur really shine.

How to Create CAS Pastel Floral Card Using Craft-A-Flower: Larkspur Layering Die Set

I started by die-cutting all the elements of the Larkspur out of white cardstock and used mini blending brushes to apply fresh dye inks to the petals and leaves. This technique always allows me to create a delicate pastel gradient that beautifully brings out the dimension of each layered piece. I combined Icy Water, Wisteria, and Hydrangea Fresh Dye Ink for flowers, along with Mossy Meadow and Green Opal for the leaves and stem.

I assembled all the die-cut elements to form the floral stem and finished the design with white paint splatters using Titanium White Artists' Gouache. The splatters add a soft, artsy touch and enhance the light, delicate feel of the card.

For the background, I used the Essential Textures: Delightfully Dotty Press Plate paired with the Champagne Hot Foil Roll for a subtle touch of shine and texture. To finish off the card, I added a simple sentiment from the good old Label Love Stamp Set, a timeless favorite that always works beautifully with clean and simple designs.
