Just Imagine Collection Project Inspiration

I have some crisp, colorful inspiration using some of the new floral products from the new Just Imagine Collection! The Gracious Peonies stamps and Fairy Tale Florals embossing folder are absolutely spectacular. I have a pair of projects today that feature these new products with lots of metallic accents and metallic sentiments created with the new Versatile Greetings Hot Foil Plate and Dies. Let's get started with the details!

Both of my projects begin with a crisp white background. I kept the color palette simple, allowing the new images to be the stars of the show. The new Brass Hot Foil that I used on the sentiments pops perfectly on the bright white background.

For my first project, I absolutely couldn't resist coloring that stunning bouquet of peonies from Gracious Peonies. The more enormous the peony, the better, at least in my book! More space equals more room for you to dig down into those nooks and crannies and create tons of depth and dimension. I heat embossed the large peony image on the center of a white mini-slimline card base using Platinum Embossing Powder. I colored the image using the Sunshine Valley Garden markers to create a gorgeous fuchsia peony. I don't know if peonies exist in this shade in reality, but I think they should!

For the greeting, I used the classy and super useful new Versatile Greetings Hot Foil Plate and Dies with Brass Hot Foil. I am in love with this chubby font! This new sentiment set is going to be a staple in my craft room, for sure. Once I'd hot foiled the greetings, I die cut all of them just to make sure that I had plenty to save for a rainy day. I like to keep hot foiled images in a bowl on my desk so that I can just grab and go when I'm in the middle of a project! Such a timesaver.

I heat embossed a greeting from Gracious Peonies onto some strips of white cardstock using Platinum Embossing Powder, which I paired with a hot foiled greeting from the ersatile Greetings Hot Foil Plate and Dies. I popped up the greeting pieces using Instant Dimension Foam Tape to help give them a little help standing out from that vibrant floral background. It's a simple card, but those giant peonies are beautiful enough that they can stand on their own without too much dressing up!

For my second card, I used the beautiful new Fairy Tale Florals embossing folder, which coordinates with the previously-released Fairy Tale Florals product suite. I wanted to keep things simple and let that beautifully detailed plate shine, so I ran it through my die cutting machine with a simple panel of white cardstock. The amount of beautiful detail and dimension that these embossing folders achieve never ceases to amaze me!

Using a very light hand, I gently swiped the Antique Gold Pigment Inkpad over the embossed area to help accent the gorgeous details on the raised embossed image. The springy foam pad on the pigment ink pads make them perfect for this technique! I pulled out my Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set and splattered some coordinating gold watercolor over the images. I also used a very small detail paintbrush to add dots of metallic gold watercolor to the ends of the flower stamens. To add one more metallic gold element, I added a partial frame cut from the Fine Frames die using Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock, trimming it down so that it drew the eye to the embossed background image.

Finally, I added another greeting from the Versatile Greetings Hot Foil Plate and Dies. Gold-on-white-on-white makes for a super classy and elegant card!!
