Metallic Cardmaking Magic with Daisy Spray Layering Die Set | Creative Die Cutting with Bibi

Hello, friends! It's Bibi Cameron here, and today I'm thrilled to share an easy but eye-catching cardmaking idea featuring the brand new Shimmer Relief Paste Colors, along with the gorgeous Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Spray Layering Die Set and the Lattice Blossoms Stencil.

I’ve always been drawn to adding metallic accents to my projects, and this time, I decided to go all-in, using the Shimmer Relief Pastes to colour all the components of this card.

Watch the cardmaking process and the new Shimmer Relief Paste Colors. in the video below.

Materials Used

The Process:

  1. I began by applying Shimmer Relief Paste to black and white cardstock using a palette knife.
Then let dry for about an hour
  2. Once dry, I die-cut the flower elements using the Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Spray Layering Die Set
    – For the flowers' petals, I used black cardstock coloured with Brass Relief Paste.
    – For the flower's centres, I used white cardstock coloured with Sea Beryl and Mayan Gold.
    – I die-cut the stems out of Olive cardstock and added a touch of Mountain Pine ink for contrast.
  3. Next, I glue all the pieces together.
  4. For the background, I used the Lattice Blossoms Stencil and Brass Relief Paste and I let it dry for 30 minutes.
  5. I also added a die cut sentiment made using a die from the new Creative Cuts: Antique Street Lamps Layering Die Set.
  6. Finally, I adhered everything together using liquid glue and dimensional foam pads

That's all for today.

I hope this simple cardmaking idea inspires you to get creative with metallic pastes! Don’t forget to check out the video for more tips and samples.

Happy crafting!
