A Pair of CAS Whimsical Cards with Build-A-Garden: Tranquil Trail
Hello, everyone! Aga here. Today, I’m sharing two clean and simple cards featuring a charming, whimsical image of a vintage-style bicycle from the Build-A-Garden: Tranquil Trail & Add-On Die Bundle.
The 6″ x 8″ Build-A-Garden: Tranquil Trail Stamp Set features a stunning, large arched floral arrangement, complete with delicate stems and intricately detailed flowers—perfect for adding elegance to any project. For today’s cards, I decided to use the colorful blooms to decorate the bikes and create a cheerful, whimsical cards.
How to create CAS Whimsical Cards with Build-A-Garden: Tranquil Trail
I started by stamping the arched floral arrangement with Obsidian Pigment Ink and then used the coordinating layering stencil set to add color. For the flowers, I blended Strawberry, Dusty Pink, and Blush Rose from the Blushberry Bliss Fresh Dye Ink Set, along with Sunray from the Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Ink Bundle. For the greenery, I used Mossy Meadow and Green Opal from the Jade Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Set. Once everything was colored, I first die cut the arrangement and fussy cut a few smaller elements.
Next, I stamped and colored the bicycles using Altenew Artist Alcohol Markers. I chose pink and brown shades from the Rock Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set D, grey shades from the Beach Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set K, and a beautiful teal colors from the Woodland Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set L.
I then used the coordinating bike die to cut out the images and added the floral elements to decorate both bikes, creating two sweet, colorful pieces.
To finish the cards, I stamped sentiments from Build-A-Garden: Tranquil Trail Stamp Set and added some delicate black ink splatters to the backgrounds to keep them as simple as possible.
I used foam tape to pop up the bikes and placed them slightly off the card base, creating a dynamic, layered look.
