Excited To Use Shimmer Relief Paste? You'll Need To Know These 2 Tips

Hi there everyone! Lydia here. Today I'm going to be sharing 2 very different ways to use the NEW Shimmer Relief Paste.

To start I cut all of the pieces from Craft-A-Flower Bearded Iris from white cardstock. ( I actually cut the leaves 3 times, but I didn't end up using them all, but I have these for future projects.) Once these were cut I used inks and blending tools to add color to them. I used Amethyst, Grape Agate and Plum Inks for the flower petals, Amber Blaze and Melted Butterscotch Inks for the stamen and Antique Olive, Olove and Sugar Kelp Inks for the leaves and stems. Once colored and the ink was dry I then adhered the pieces together using wet glue and a little Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

To add some shimmer to the petals I used a little Pearl Shimmer Relief Paste. You could do this with your finger but I used a paint brush and it worked really well. I would recommend that as soon as you have finished that you wash your paint brush in water so you can use it again.

For the background I used Pearl Shimmer Relief Paste through the Linked Spots & Dots Stencil onto Parchment Cardstock. The sentiment was hot foiled using Essential Sentiments Hot Foil Plate.
