Hello everyone! Happy release day! Lydia here and today I'll be sharing 2 ways to mix foiling and watercolor with press plates.
Making a Gorgeous Floral Card With Press Plates
I used the Lovely Flowers Press Plate for both cards. For the first one, I foiled the image using Gold Mirror Foil onto watercolor paper and the second I foiled with Silver Foil onto Jet Black Cardstock.
For the image foiled on watercolor cardstock I used the Spring Garden Watercolor Brush Markers. I colored the flowers using Warm Sunshine and Rubellite Markers, Emerald and Desert Night Markers for the leaves and Autumn Blaze for the flower centers. Once it was dry I fussy cut the image. For the background I created a light wash background using Sea Breeze Marker. For the sentiment I used a sentiment from the same press plate set , foiled using gold foil on Jet Black Cardstock.
For the second card, after the image was foiled I added some color using Metallic Watercolor Pan Set. I didn't cover the whole image to get the look with the black acting like shadow on the image. I foiled the sentiment from the same press plate directly in the black card layer.
