Hey there, Altenew friends, it's Jaycee! Today, we embark on a nostalgic journey with Altenew's Timeless Sentiments 2 Die Set. Using this die set, let's explore crafting inspiration with the heart of our artistry through cherished stamp sets that hold special meaning to me.

My Cardmaking Journey

My love for card making began in December 2015 when I picked up stamps and cardstock to create thank you cards. One of the first stamp sets that captured my heart was Perfectly Perfect. This set holds sentimental value as it was one of the first sets I colored with alcohol-based markers and featured in my inaugural YouTube video.

It marked the beginning of my creative involvement with Altenew, YouTube, and Instagram, allowing me to share my passion for floral coloring and connect with fellow Altenew fans.

The Initial Crafting Inspiration: Flowers Galore

Over the years, Altenew's stamp sets have continued to inspire. With a lot of practice and Altenew Artist Alcohol Markers, coloring has become a joyous and fulfilling experience.

Drawing inspiration from my own garden, I blend shades of Woodland Escape colors with Dried Petal to recreate the beauty of Koko Loko Floribunda roses, infusing each bloom with a unique blend of mocha, mauve, and lavender hues.

As I adorn my creations with foliage, I reminisce about my crafting journey and the evolution of my preferred color palettes. From muted warm greys to vibrant red undertones, I have learned to create balance and harmony in my floral arrangements, allowing the blooms to shine and the leaves to complement.

The Timeless Sentiments 2 Die Set takes center stage in my first card, adding dimension and focus to the sentiment “Have A Good Day” framed by my beloved Koko Loko flowers.

Diverse Crafting Essentials

The Stampwheel and SlimGrip Sticky Mat have become essential tools in my craft room, enabling precise measurements and symmetrical designs for a harmonious composition.

Pairing Blush Crafty Necessities Solid Cardstock with the Floral Henna Stamp Set in Mauve Fresh Dye Ink, I created a tone-on-tone panel embellished with images from the Hennah Elements set, celebrating the diversity and artistry of Altenew's designs.

What Crafting Means to Me

In the spirit of Altenew's 10th anniversary, I reflect on the sentimental value of my crafting journey, inspired by the words of Maya Angelou, “people will never forget how you made them feel.”
