DIY Notebook with Frosted Garden Stamp Set + Video!
Hello everyone! It's Zinia and today I'd like to share with you a little DIY notebook I created using some of my favorite Altenew supplies.
My plan for this notebook is to keep it like a journal and document memories using only a pen and an ink. I want to keep it completely flat so I'm planning to just use my stamps, a text, and some doodles for my pages. I'll definitely share some of my pages once I get into it but for now, I want to share with you how I created the notebook itself.
I picked one of the beautiful watercolor paper from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection to use for my cover. This collection has a few similar papers in different colors so you can pick your favorite but I went for blue in this case.
To customize the design of the paper and make it more fun and interesting, I used the Frosted Garden Stamp Set. I picked some stamp images, arranged them on my paper, and then stamped them using my stamping tool.
To make my stamping more interesting, I used a selection of different shades of blue. I went for something like an ombre effect without being too particular about it. I mixed colors from different sets including Sweet Dreams, Deep Blue Seas and Cool Summer Nights.
Once I was done with my stamping, I took a few sheets of paper and bound the cover into a notebook. There are so many different ways that you can bind your own notebooks but I went for a very simple stitching on the spine.
My very last step was to add a few decorative elements. I used a rectangle sticker and put it in the middle of my cover. This look kinda reminded me of my old school notebooks so I really loved the design. I also added a wood veneer origami bird which is the only dimensional piece that will go well on this notebook.
