The colors in the watercolor try are beautiful.
I would give zero stars if I could. These are really inferior paints. Poor quality, and is not saturated in color at all. On top of that, several of my pans were broken. I wrote Altenew to let them know I was not happy with the quality of the paint or that they were broken, and their response was just to send me another set. Again I pointed out that the paints were poor quality, and the next response I got was to send them back (on my own dollar of course).
I'm really disappointed in the customer service I received. I have been a big fan of Altenew for a long time. I wrote them first to avoid having to write this public review. But they don't seem to bother reading my email or trying to make things right, so here's my review. I doubt they'll read this one either. I guess they are too big and important to care about one customer. I will probably shop elsewhere based on their response. I try to support small, USA businesses, but it's clear that Altenew's desire to support customer loyalty is out the window.
As for the watercolors, try Van Gogh or Prima. Much higher quality and far better customer service. I'm including pics showing the cracked pans, and a swatch of Van Gogh's compared to Altenew's so you can tell for yourself.
This paint palette has 12 beautiful colors. The colors are perfect to go along with the coloring book. I’m not a water colorist but I’ve already had fun with this set. Great price point too!
The selection of colors in this set are so pretty. They are very easy to use and really compliment each other.
The case that the tray of colors is in really makes this very easy for traveling. Great Purchase!
I am just learning how to watercolor and this set has got me started right, I think. The paper is a good weight, and I like that it has both dark and light lines. I've been wanting to try no-line coloring.
